Without a Trace

This earth was stolen
For our invented needs
Environmental greed
We’ll disappear
What’s our next move in bleeding the world?
As we push harder to be unsustainable
What’s the next target that we choose to displace?
Only to disappear without a trace

No Loose Ends

To live and die on a heart of stone, you made your minds up long ago
Broke through skin straight to the bone, you’re left alone, nothing left to show
Could I extend an olive branch
If there’s no hand reaching back for mine?
There’s no use for a fucking excuse
When all of us have drawn our lines
Which way is the way of life where you choose to play the opposition?
Adapt, evolve, grow old, die slow
Pick one and move the fuck along
My hate is strong
And my memory’s long
But you already knew that
I’ve never held a grudge so pointless
I feel it everyday
I can’t believe how tired you must be
So miserable constantly
The sun is setting for the likes of you
I bet you wish there was something you could do
To stop this progression, the expansion of the human mind
The door is closed on you and your kind
What will it take?
Nails through the wrists? A stake through the heart?
Whatever fate may hand
I’m leaving no loose ends

Lethal Dose

What do you expect from this?
How could you win without a prize?
Is there an out when your friends are gone?
Use your head and open your mind
Are you smug or just so stupid to demand such respect
This life’s a game of give and take
Not sit back and wait to collect
Waste of time
Waste of space
Waste your time screaming at the wall and get the fuck out of my face
All bark, no bite; here’s your muzzle
You dig your grave, here’s your shovel
Waste of time
Waste of breath
Could someone like you find it in yourself to change?
Or is this all that’s left?
You find yourself at a time in your life where you could choose to change but you refuse to change
You’ve picked your hill, fell on your sword
Reap what you’ve sewn, it’s your only reward
Pride comes before the fall

Left to Burn

How could we expect so much
We did nothing but doom them to fail
Cut loose a young mind into the world
With nothing but debt and an empty promise
Is it fair to expect all of them
To know how to grow on their own
Forced, impractical education taught nothing about surviving the world
So much potential left to flicker and fade
So much life to live that’s taken away
We’re placing blame and cry “you did it to yourself”
Too stubborn to admit we didn’t do enough to help
We did this
We’re doing this
We’ve laid no road or a path to success
We’ve left them to burn all alone
Another kid locked up or out on the street
Never had a chance, no chance to succeed
Left to burn
